Grete Jalk (1920-2006) was a Danish furniture designer and architect known for her contributions to the field of modernist design. Born on November 17, 1920, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Jalk developed a passion for design from an early age.

Jalk studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where she honed her skills in design and craftsmanship. During her studies, she became deeply influenced by the principles of functionalism and the modernist movement, which emphasized simplicity, functionality, and clean lines.
