Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940) was an Italian furniture and decorative arts designer, known for his innovative and avant-garde creations. Born on February 2, 1856, in Milan, Italy, Bugatti came from a family of artists and craftsmen.

Bugatti initially trained as an architect, studying at the Brera Academy in Milan. However, he soon discovered his passion for furniture design and began experimenting with various styles and materials. Inspired by the Art Nouveau movement, Bugatti incorporated intricate details, organic forms, and exotic materials into his designs.
