Born on March 18, 1902, in Paris, France, Subes developed a passion for metalworking at a young age, which eventually led him to establish himself as one of the leading figures in the decorative arts industry.

Subes began his career by studying at the prestigious Ecole Boulle in Paris, where he honed his skills in metalwork and gained a comprehensive understanding of design principles.
