About Silas Seandel

Silas Seandel is an American furniture and decorative arts designer known for his innovative approach to metalwork. Born in New York in 1937, Seandel developed a passion for art and design at a young age. He attended the High School of Music and Art in New York City, where he honed his skills in painting and sculpture.

After high school, Seandel pursued further education at the University of Michigan, where he studied architecture and design. It was during this time that he discovered his affinity for working with metal. Seandel's interest in metalwork was influenced by the works of renowned artists such as Alberto Giacometti and David Smith.

In the early 1960s, Seandel established his own studio in New York City, where he began experimenting with various

more works by Silas Seandel
