About Tommi Parzinger
Tommi Parzinger (1903-1981) was an influential American furniture and decorative arts designer. Born on February 23, 1903, in Munich, Germany, Parzinger showed a keen interest in art and design from a young age. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Munich, where he honed his skills in metalwork and woodworking.
In 1924, Parzinger immigrated to the United States and settled in New York City. He quickly established himself as a prominent figure in the field of furniture and decorative arts. Parzinger's designs were characterized by their sleek lines, luxurious materials, and meticulous craftsmanship. He drew inspiration from a wide range of sources, including classical forms, Asian aesthetics, and modernist principles.
