Silvio Cavatorta (1907-1981) was an Italian furniture designer and artist known for his innovative and avant-garde creations in the field of decorative arts. Born in Florence, Italy, Cavatorta developed a passion for design from an early age and went on to become one of the most influential figures in the Italian design scene of the mid-20th century.

Cavatorta's career began in the 1930s when he started working as a decorator and designer for the renowned Florentine firm, Fratelli Cavatorta.
