Gilbert Poillerat (1902-1988) was a renowned French furniture and decorative arts designer. Born on July 17, 1902, in Paris, France, Poillerat displayed a passion for art and design from an early age. He studied at the prestigious Ecole Boulle, where he honed his skills in metalwork and sculpture.
After completing his education, Poillerat began his career as a metalworker, specializing in wrought iron. He quickly gained recognition for his exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs. His unique ability to blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics set him apart from his contemporaries.
