About Finn Juhl

Finn Juhl (1912-1989) was a Danish furniture and interior designer, widely recognized for his contributions to the field of modernist design. He is considered one of the leading figures of the Danish Modern movement, which emerged in the mid-20th century.

Born on January 30, 1912, in Frederiksberg, Denmark, Juhl initially pursued a career in architecture, studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. However, his passion for furniture design soon took precedence, leading him to establish his own design studio in 1945.

Juhl's designs were characterized by their organic forms, innovative use of materials, and meticulous craftsmanship. He drew inspiration from various sources, including traditional Danish craftsmanship, modernist principles, and
