About Paul McCobb
Paul McCobb (June 5, 1917 – March 10, 1969) was an influential American furniture and decorative arts designer. Born in Medford, Massachusetts, McCobb is best known for his mid-century modern designs that epitomized the clean, functional aesthetic of the era.
McCobb began his career in the design industry as a window dresser for the Boston department store, Jordan Marsh. His keen eye for detail and composition soon caught the attention of the store's management, leading to his promotion to the position of display director. During this time, McCobb honed his skills in visual merchandising and learned to create visually appealing and well-curated displays.
In the 1940s, McCobb established his own design firm, Paul McCobb Associates, in New York City. He quickly Read Full Bio
