About Diego Giacometti

Diego Giacometti (1902-1985) was a Swiss artist and furniture designer known for his exquisite craftsmanship and unique style. Born on November 15, 1902, in Borgonovo, Switzerland, Giacometti was the younger brother of the renowned sculptor Alberto Giacometti.

Giacometti's fascination with art and design began at an early age, and he initially trained as an architect at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva. However, he soon discovered his true passion for creating furniture and decorative arts. In the 1920s, he moved to Paris, where he became associated with the Surrealist movement and began collaborating with his brother Alberto on various artistic projects.
