About Percival Lafer

Percival Lafer (born July 12, 1936) is a Brazilian furniture designer and entrepreneur known for his significant contributions to the field of modern furniture design. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Lafer has established himself as a prominent figure in the world of furniture and decorative arts.

Lafer began his career in the 1960s, during a period of significant cultural and artistic transformation in Brazil. Inspired by the modernist movement, he sought to create furniture that combined functionality with innovative design. Lafer's designs often feature clean lines, bold shapes, and a harmonious blend of materials, showcasing his ability to balance aesthetics and practicality.

In 1961, Lafer founded his eponymous furniture company, Lafer S.A., which quickly gained

more works by Percival Lafer
