About Hans Wegner
Hans Wegner (1914-2007) was a renowned Danish furniture designer and one of the leading figures of the mid-century modern movement. Born in Tønder, Denmark, Wegner's passion for woodworking began at an early age, leading him to pursue a career in furniture design.
Wegner studied at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, where he trained under renowned architects Kaare Klint and Erik Møller. After completing his education, Wegner embarked on a successful career as a furniture designer, establishing his own studio in 1943.
