About Charles Eames

Charles Eames (1907-1978) was an American designer and architect who made significant contributions to the fields of furniture and decorative arts. He is best known for his collaboration with his wife, Ray Eames, with whom he created iconic designs that have had a lasting impact on modern design.

Born on June 17, 1907, in St. Louis, Missouri, Charles Ormond Eames Jr. showed an early interest in design. He studied architecture at Washington University in St. Louis but dropped out before completing his degree. Despite this, Eames gained valuable experience working at various architectural firms in St. Louis and Chicago.
