About Børge Mogensen
Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) was a renowned Danish furniture designer and architect, known for his functional and practical approach to design. He played a significant role in shaping the development of Danish modernism and contributed greatly to the field of furniture and decorative arts.
Born on April 13, 1914, in Aalborg, Denmark, Mogensen showed an early interest in craftsmanship and design. He studied furniture design at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, where he later became a professor. During his studies, he was influenced by the teachings of renowned architect Kaare Klint, who emphasized the importance of functionality and simplicity in design.
