Together, they created a range of furniture pieces that seamlessly blended modern aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. Stewart's designs were characterized by their clean lines, simplicity, and functionality. He believed in creating furniture that was not only visually appealing but also practical and comfortable. His work often featured natural materials such as wood, leather, and metal, and he paid meticulous attention to every detail, ensuring that his designs were of the highest quality. Throughout his career, Stewart collaborated with various renowned manufacturers, including Drexel Heritage, Directional, and Calvin Furniture. His designs gained widespread recognition and were featured in numerous exhibitions and publications. Stewart's work was also acquired by prestigious institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. In addition to his work as a furniture designer, Stewart was also an accomplished artist. He explored various mediums, including painting and sculpture, and his artwork often reflected his design sensibilities, with an emphasis on simplicity and balance.
