About Kem Weber

Kem Weber (born Karl Emanuel Martin Weber) was a prominent furniture and decorative arts designer of the 20th century. He was born on March 28, 1889, in Berlin, Germany, and later immigrated to the United States. Weber is best known for his innovative and influential designs that combined elements of modernism and Art Deco.

Weber started his career as an architect, studying at the University of Berlin and the University of Stuttgart. After completing his studies, he worked for several architectural firms in Germany, where he gained valuable experience in designing furniture and interiors. In 1914, he moved to the United States and settled in California.

In the early 1920s, Weber established himself as a leading designer in the American furniture industry. His
